BSI Math

Mrs. Martino
Hello! My name is Donna Martino and I am a teacher for two programs here at Troy Hills Elementary School. I work with students in the Grades 1-5 Basic Skills Math program and also the 5th Grade Accelerated Math program.
I have been teaching since I graduated from Caldwell College, with a Bachelor Arts degree in Elementary Education, in 1997. I first taught at Lincoln Park Elementary School, which was the school I attended as a child. My elementary school principal was my first employer (pretty cool). I also received my Masters Degree in Educational Practices in 2013. I am a big advocate for being a life-long learner.
By 1999, I started working in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District and I have been working here as a teacher ever since! I started as first grade teacher, then second grade for a few years, before I became a Basic Skills teacher. This has been such a wonderful experience working with so many students. I have seen math skills and self-confidence grow throughout the grade levels! In 2019 I also began working with students in the 5th Grade Accelerated Math program. This has been a wonderful experience and I am excited to continue teaching and learning in both programs.
If I am not working with students during the school year, I am busy spending time with my three children, friends, family, and my dog, Rocky. I also like to read, cook, watch movies, and travel.
If there is anything you need to discuss or would like information about, please contact me by email at [email protected] or just call the school.
